Hahaha ! Get over yourself.

You’re not interested in evidence, *omneyesque. You weren’t in December, you weren’t in January or February, nor in July.

But if you want some evidence, perhaps we should investigate your bank account, hmm ? You willing to disclose it ?

“Reagan won in 1980 and 1984. And while they did vote for Al Smith in 1928, MA remained a HEAVILY GOP state from before the Civil War up until about 1960.”

1960 was before I was born. I’ll live with that view:
Massachusetts has been one of the most Democratic-leaning states since before I was born over 40 year ago. Which is somewhat accurate in that the Kennedy regime is a part of what made Massachusetts such a Democrat bastion.

“It was liberals that shriveled the party” Maybe it was, but it was GOP liberals for 50 years prior to Romney who did it then. (Actually, no, it really was Kennedy building the irish catholic voter base into a Democrat base in the state.)

“Ah, but why would you be interested in facts ? “
You do have a flair for ironic stupidity don’t you.
Facts destroy your slanders.

Ah, changing the subject. One might get the impression you don't have anything to present. But that can't be, can it?

I'll give you one last chance: present your direct, clear proof that Romney bought off all major Conservatives during the primary season.

Who cares what I think? Here's your opportunity to prove me wrong before all of Freeperdom. Have at it, sir! If you can.

“Even things that are “over the top” have a seed of truth in them in many cases. “

That’s just making an excuse for slander. The fact is that these guys are slandering Romney repeatedly. It’s sad, pathetic and outrageous. And it ruins the forum.

“MA voted for Reagan twice “

False.

Then 2 posts later...

“I’ve made no false claims”

You’ve made several. That’s just one.

Oh, and you made 17 of the last 24 posts ... your obsession is unhealthy. Take your meds and breathe slowly.

"1960 was before I was born. I’ll live with that view:"

Oh, but wait. You trolls claim I'm so WRONG on everything. Can't have it both ways. :-)

"Massachusetts has been one of the most Democratic-leaning states since before I was born over 40 year ago. Which is somewhat accurate in that the Kennedy regime is a part of what made Massachusetts such a Democrat bastion."

It became Dem over a period of time, but that didn't mean the GOP ceased to exist. In 1990, for example, that same party came within 4 seats of capturing one legislative body. Hardly the mark of a dead party. Flash forward 16 years later and the members of that party could caucus in a bathroom stall. That didn't happen because of the Democrats. That happened because of the RINOs, and the last one in charge delivered the death blow, and that one was a fella named Willard Mitt *omney.

"Facts destroy your slanders."

Nope, facts prove the truth. There's nothing I've said about Slick Willard that is a falsehood. NOTHING. :-)

We sure do. McCain is not sufficiently inarticulate by himself. You must really be looking forward to seeing just any random, Democrap buffoon wipe the floor with Sanford. He seems quite accomplished at appearing inept.

Before you ask, yes, I’ve seen only 1 clip. Yes, it was CNN, but regardless the venue, Sanford showed beyond the shadow of a doubt that he cannot deliver the communication goods. Heck, he makes W seem like Reagan.

So I take that as a “no.”

That’s what I thought.

Follow the money. It always leads you to the truth.

“You had GOP officeholders in the ‘80s and ‘90s, even federal ones.”

Strawman alert, of course Republicans got into *some* offices, thats why I mentioned - “Romney beat a lib-Dem Fem in 2002”

But not in the US Senate for a long time (Kerry and Kennedy for eons). And of the Republicans, Romney was the most conservative.

Oh, and your cite only gives *MORE* evidence for my point:

“November of 1990 was a heady time for Massachusetts Republicans: William Weld was elected the first Republican governor since 1970.” .... HMMMM, so the Democrats had the Massachusetts Governorship for 20 straight years. Hmmm.
Yeah, what a great MA GOP we had before that doofus Weld. LOL.

Oh wait there is more: “Fast forward to the summer of 1997, and the State Republican Party is in complete disarray. The Republican membership in the Senate has dwindled to seven and has long since lost its ability to sustain a Weld veto. After reaching 35 in 1990, the House Republicans have shrunk to a laughable 28 members of the 160-member body.”

So before Romney even became Governor, the GOP was pathetic and was written off. Weld came and went and did nothing to revive the corpse.

Romney tried in 2004 to help the down ticket candidate, but it didnt work in a year that Kerry was at the head of the ticket. The worst you can say about Romney on the matter is that he to did not revive the corpse.

But accusing him of killing something (the MA GOP) that was long dead is wrong.

THANKS AGAIN FOR PROVING YOUR OWN SLANDERS WRONG.

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Romney started whoring after the Presidency after he completed his term as Governor. If I’m wrong, please correct me. If I’m right, if he did not ‘run away from his responsibilities as Governor to whore after the Presidency’ as you allege, please limit yourself to the accurate verbs.

Do you want to continue embarrassing yourself ?

"Strawman alert, of course Republicans got into *some* offices, thats why I mentioned - “Romney beat a lib-Dem Fem in 2002”"

How many federal and statewide Republicans are left in MA now after *omney's reign ?

For some reason, I am reminded of this:

"All right. We'll call it a draw."

LOL. Ignore the question, declare victory, repeat the lie and move on. As Ross Perot once said "Now, that's just sad." I'm done with you.

“Oh, but wait. You trolls claim I’m so WRONG on everything.”

You were wrong. You claimed that Romney killed the MA GOP and now you are admitting its been a Democrat state for generations.

“It became Dem over a period of time, but that didn’t mean the GOP ceased to exist.”
Strawman argument. I LIVED there, remember. Of course Republicans exist and have some offices, etc. We are just merely saying that Massachusetts is and has been one of the bluest states in the nation.

“In 1990, for example, that same party came within 4 seats of capturing one legislative body. Hardly the mark of a dead party.”

Actually, that’s still pathetic, consider that is a multi-decade high water mark for the GOP. You couldnt even find the GOP having a majority in either branch of Govt for *decades*. Is that not sad and pathetic?
Texas is considered a strong GOP state and the Dems today are only 6 seats away from a majority. The Dems had the lege as recently as 2002.

” Flash forward 16 years later and the members of that party could caucus in a bathroom stall. “

So what? They could do that in 1986 and in 1998 and in other years too. That’s the point, the MA GOP has been flat on its back for a long time.

“That didn’t happen because of the Democrats. “
Yes, it did for the most part. The Kennedy machine
was and is very powerful since the 1950s and 1960s.

“That happened because of the RINOs, “
The Democrats in Massachusetts never ran against RINOs, but ran against Jesse Helms and southern conservatives. Playing on prejudice, the flip-side of Red state Republicans bashing Massachusetts, the Massachusetts pols would bash folks like Helms and try to tie GOP candidates to them as southern yahoo bigots.

“That happened because of the RINOs, and the last one in charge delivered the death blow, and that one was a fella named Willard Mitt *omney.”

Utter and absolute silliness. The MA GOP is no worse off now than in 1998. In fact, 2008 may be a very good year. McCain could do quite well compared with other candidates, and white ethnics in Massachusetts might not vote for Obama with the enthusiasm they had for Dukakis, Clinton and Kerry.

Your blind hatred is making you say foolish and false things.

Oh Boy, here we go again. Can you please loosen up a bit? People do change for the better sometimes, it does happen. Do you want to end abortion or not? If so, we need more converts, not less. Abortion is a sad thing. I wonder how much trouble we have brought upon ourselves as a nation for allowing such an injustice on the most innocent among us, our babies. It’s just sad. That should be your focus, not trying to use someone’s past as a whipping board.

I wish I could find you the long post I wrote earlier this year when I realized what the man was up to a long time ago. He shares a similar psychosis with Gore in that both believed their fathers had the Presidency stolen away. He made the calculated effort in ‘94 in that had he beaten Ted Kennedy, he knew the party would hand him the Presidential nomination in ‘96 because he would’ve been considered a “superstar” giant killer. He was never interested in serving as a Senator nor as a Governor, he was just looking for the short cut to the White House. This has been his goal all along.
