IMHO, the real question would be what is magic about the number "two". In marriage, the only thing magic about it is that it is one plus one. One male and, most typically, exactly one female. The most proper objection to homosexual marriage is that a marriage needs a man and a marriage needs a woman (typically exactly one). A relationship involving two women and one man would seem functionally much closer to a marriage than a relationship with two women and zero men. I wish some proponent of gay 'marriage' could explain why it isn't.
