Obama visited Pakistan as a college student

Washington, Apr 8 (ANI): Democrat presidential hopeful Barack Obama has said that he had travelled to Pakistan as a college student.

I travelled to Pakistan when I was in college — I knew what Sunni and Shia was before I joined the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama said during a fundraiser in San Francisco.

In 1981, Obama visited his mother and sister Maya in Indonesia and then travelled to Pakistan with a friend from college whose family was from there.

According to Obamas campaign, he was in Karachi for about three weeks and then visited Hyderabad in India.

Obama revealed all this while talking about his forte in the foreign policy.

“Foreign policy is the area where I am probably most confident that I know more and understand the world better than Senator Clinton or Senator McCain,” Obama said, according to the Huffington Post. (ANI)

The MSM’s mewing apologias for the cover are not unexpected. But the easy emailing of the cover combined with the sensory dominance of the visual image over the written word render it powerful indeed.

The cover with the same theme could have been done in slapstick style that would have left little doubt that it was but caricature. It was rendered, though, in a manner “real enough” that to an impartial observer would most likely suggest intent of malice.

The staff members of the New Yorker, some of them Hillary fans, are sophisticated types who knew very well what the reaction would be to the cover. And it would seem they had more in mind than selling a lot of copies. ..
