Why would they be offended at a satire of right wingers? Oh, I think I got it, it too closely resembles reality so the satire isn't apparent to the Obamanation?

Let’s see the AP try to airbrush the negatives out of this one.

UPDATE to the UPDATE — McCain spokesman Tucker “Outward” Bounds quickly e-mailed: “We completely agree with the Obama campaign, it’s tasteless and offensive.”

Careful! Barry will call for a beheading at the New Yorker as soon as the Fairness Doctrine spills over to print media! Maybe he’ll even issue a Fatwa like he did about what we drive, what we eat, and where we set our thermostats.

No, that would make him a rock star in liberal circles. You’ve got the right idea, though. lol

"3. dap love it 47 up, 44 down hate it

"The Dap includes simple to very intricate series of rhythmic hand slaps, clasps, hand and arm gestures exchanged between two persons as a sign of personal greeting, respect and group solidarity. Has origin in greetings developed and practiced by members of Black Power organizations founded in southern California in the early 1970s and then became common place and outlawed practice among African-American draftees and soldiers stateside and abroad during the latter years of the Vietnam War. Was soon adopted by huge duck bill cap, suspender and knicker attired African-American street and club dancers who originated the dance known as "Lockstepping." Best known Lock Stepper is Fred Barry aka Rerun from the hit 1970s black TV sitcom, "What's Happenin'?" simplest of Daps is to tap closed fists together one time horizontally or vertically. "

Interesting history of fist bump from the urban dictionary.

This week the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power offered a discount to all customers who would allow the company to remotely turn off their ACs.

It’s happening.

Hmmmmmmmm. Good point. I don't know who the trashy mag was endorsing? Usually though they get over it. Their HATRED for Republicans has brought them together in the past.

This is a hoot! The New Yorker had President Bush and VP Cheney as clueless Brokeback Mountain “Cover Your Back Mountain” cowboys, nary a peep.

The Rolling Stone has monkey-faced President Bush in a dunce cap with the headline, “Worst President Ever?” and there is no problem.

Show a cartoon of Obama and it’s like...well it’s like the reaction some of the Muslim world had to the cartoons of “the prophet.”

One of the funniest post at DU decries the Obama cover while defending Bush caricatures because they are of “the enemy.”

If libs couldn’t vote, they’d be entertaining as all get out.

What is so funny to me about the DU comments are that so many are saying, “It’s a joke!” and then go on to lament that so many don’t get the joke.

Rule #1 of comedy: If you have to explain your joke, it isn’t funny.

Seems Muslims are overly sensitive to satire, IMO.
