I did not miss the phrase. His speech writer strategically added it to try to catch a few of the unwary. Even if he added it, why believe his words today over those earlier in the week?

You live in the D/FW Metroplex, doc?
Hill Country. My polling place is actually 1/4 mile away, though a greenbelt, so I'm going to try to be a good citizen, and walk. But if I pass out drunk, next to the jogging trail, I hope that one of McCain's "Independent" GOTV workers will haul me the rest ot the way.
Oops, I forgot.
Independents don't do that messy GOTV stuff. Oh, well, as long as I don't fall into a fire ant bed, I can probably sleep it off, maverick that I am.

“All God’s Chilluns”
I just watched it and it ends with Teddy’s butt-buddy saying, “I’m John McCain and I approved this message.”
He’s made his choice and I’ve made mine:
I’ll vote for Juan . . . as soon as Rosie O’Donut makes the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
And if the open borders lunatics keep scolding me, I’ll vote for the Obamination just to jam a stick in their spokes.
I’m tired of walking on my knees across broken glass to vote for “compassionate conservatives”. If Juan El Pander Bear wants my vote, he’ll promise to enforce our immigration laws. Period.

You didn't use a number two pencil - I can tell.
Actually, we are still talking about this teevee ad - why the phrase "God's Children" is infuriating, and why Juan Hernandez being on the payroll, insures me who McCain is listening to on immigration.
Don't get steamed - I'm still going to vote against Obama. Unless they lock me up like Otis, on "The Andy Griffith Show".

The point is....that they (Hispanics) make solid positive contributions to our Nation and our society. Those who are here illegally shouldn't be permitted to besmirch the good that the former has done.

It’s the same ad I watched before first posting about it.
Regardless of where it is released, it is still showing either a conservative hostile McCain or a clueless McCain.
Yes I did hear the ‘must come here legally’ part. I’ve heard him say it before and it is typically followed by something like ‘but for those already here...’
The point is that he is trying to attribute people’s desire for rule of law to anti hispanic xenophobia.

Build the wall.
Big and tall.
Find the illegals,
and deport them all.

McCain doesn’t want to make illegal aliens legal by changing yheir behavior, he wants to make them legal by changing our laws.

Cool it with the insults. People get way to emotional with this topic. Obama is planning to give illegals instant voting rights to insure the Dems stay in power for ever. He has been saying that for years . Obama is a former ACCORN voter fraud specialist and Mayor Daley hack so he knows how to steal elections . McCain is not promising any one instant voting rights . As for any other pandering stuff, its called politics.

It's politics with citizens. With illegal aliens, it's racial pandering of the lowest kind

You are correct.
The touch-back provision in Comprehensive Immigration Reform, meant that illegals had to buy a round-trip ticket to Nuevo Laredo, before being granted amnesty. Although the backroom dealing would have softened this to include a Mexican Consulate to qualify as a touch-back.
So please tell John McCain, next time you see him:
Conservatives are God's Children too!!!!!!!

Sen. McCain you are not making it easy for me to vote for you. Every time you open your mouth I have to convince myself all over again. Do me a favor and just STFU.

I am really burned out on this topic. Its a no win situation for any Repub trying to deal with the carnage left by the Bush's very very very stupid push for immigration reform .The whole mess cooked up by Rove and Bush really have left a lot of pissed off people and made the RNC look bad to the latin population because the Bush WH has the absolute worst PR/communication staff since Herbert Hoover. Off to work . Bye

I don’t think a single person on this forum disputes your point. That being said, it is McCain who is doing the besmirching here by excusing the crimes of illegals by pointing to the good work legal Hispanics and citizens.
Nobody is asking McCain to amnesty legal immigrants and citizens. The man is patently dishonest.
