Generally, measles is brought back by kids of yuppies, who go overseas, but avoid immunizing their kids because of the perceived dangers of inoculation. They are safe in the US (well, until yuppies take their uninoculated kids overseas, who catch something and bring it back to spread the joy) because of herd immunity.
Call it liberal upper-middle class superstition. They are really little different than Muslims in Niger that refused to get their kids inoculated against polio because the polio vaccine was supposed to be a European plot to sterilize Muslims.
I noticed the states listed have heavy illegal populations.
Our government, people in it, deserve to be the ones whose families come in contact with the scourge for their greedy selfish sellout of US citizens.
A pox on them and their families.
