Our country was built on emigrates who learned English, learned our culture, and were proud to become Americans.
I think Ur Obama needs to go back to school and learn what made our country GREAT. After he learns US history he can inform his wife of the high points so she has something to be proud of. He is getting more and more disgusting every day. After today we all know what old JJ thinks of him.

As a child I spoke two languages and now that I live in the States I have lost some of my ability to speak spanish. Every time I am overseas I regret not knowing more languages.

My kids, however, have two languages down pat and that skill has helped them is school a great deal.

We in America shy away from learning other languages and that is a huge mistake.

The ability to speak multiple languages provides one with more avenues of thinking through processes and solving problems.

Students that primarily english speakers and at a very early age begin to learn a second language score higher on achievement tests than students that only speak one language.

While we trade with China, we are sending office jobs doing R&D and phone support to India. If you live or work in America, you will be on the phone with someone in India. Knowing the local language could help.

I believe Obama is toast in Nov. Its going to be a slaughter, no matter who he gets as VP. Just wish we had a better candidate who will end up sitting in the oval office than McCain. But I believe McCain is going to win by a huge margin.

Go to Rolling Stone’s website. They have the audio excerpts from Jann’s interview with him. All of the pauses and uhms are cut from the published transcript. Makes him seem much more fluid.

Is the problem that he’s thinking out his answer in 2-5 languages?

Obama’s messages that “you can’t go on living as you choose” and “you will be required to give service to government sanctioned programs” etc are not going to sit well with the masses.

Usually when smoking bans go into effect, it is by mayor edict or city council vote, not a ballot referendum.

Consider Obama’s campaign the referendum on the nannystate.
