“Change”

Yep. Kristallnacht was a "change", too.

Obama backs the law that has a provision added in by Claire McKasill at, Obama’s request, that benefits a person that had one single parent at birth. McCain had two. Obama had one.

Why would he want this provision added? Something stinks and schilling for Obama only flames those odors more. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2040486/posts?page=447#447

Claire McCaskill's chickenscratch working up the resolution:

To: davandbar

IS THERE MORE TO IT THAN THIS? I DON’T SEE THE SINGLE- PARENT PROVISION.

I just did a google search and this is what I found. Is this what the senate passed or is there more to it?

More.

That's just a sense of the Senate resolution. In earlier iterations, it was a bill modifying 8 USCA Sec. 1401.

I think Obama wanted to modify this law - someone correct me if I'm wrong - and related laws surrounding laws that pertain to natural born U.S. citizenship:

-snip-

"4. December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986

If, at the time of your birth, both your parents were U.S. citizens and at least one had a prior residence in the United States, you automatically acquired U.S. citizenship with no conditions for retaining it.

If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16. There are no conditions placed on retaining this type of citizenship. If your one U.S. citizen parent is your father and you were born outside of marriage, the same rules apply if your father legally legitimated you before your 21st birthday and you were unmarried at the time. If legitimation occurred after November 14, 1986, your father must have established paternity prior to your 18th birthday, either by acknowledgment or by court order, and must have stated in writing that he would support you financially until your 18th birthday."

http://immigration.findlaw.com/immigration/immigration-citizenship-naturalization/immigration-citizenship-naturalization-did-you-know/immigration-citizenship-naturalization-did-you-know(1).html

-end snip-

You connect Obama wanting to change the citizenship law that would benefit him somehow, and with the Obama birth certificate fiasco, you can logically infer that he may not be eligible to be president.

Yes, McCaskill and Obama would not give any more info to WAPO and the rest of the press that would be damning to themselves.

As if these two Dems did this to benefit their hearts just for Johnny McCain? Oh, how sweeeeet of these two to be so thoughtful... LoL!

Damned shame those 'earlier iterations' are ensconced in the Congressional Record.

We have to be careful in this discovery - it needs to break after the convention, not before, but with an iron-clad case backing it when it does.

Hmmmm

Interesting how he was quick to generously say that McCain had earned the right to run for President and referred to the constitutional requirement to be a natural born citizen as a “LOOPHOLE”. Maybe the Dems were just dying to run against McCain or...maybe there really is something funny with BO’s BC.

However, I do agree with the military personnel provision, in principle.

Barack Obama was definitely, 100% a natural-born citizen of the United States. See this 1952 bill:

“Sec. 301. [8 U.S.C. 1401] The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:
(a) a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;
...
(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years:”
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2040486/posts?page=2001#2001

Barack was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but even if he was born outside the USA, he was a natural-born citizen via his mother.

No, he definitely was not, or he wouldn't have asked McCaskill to inject wording helpful to him in her McCain resolution which he wrote, but got her (also) frosh butt to author.

Hmmmmm...no. That law came into effect in 1986 to present and does not apply to Obama. As you know, Obama was born in the early 1960s.

Barack was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but even if he was born outside the USA, he was a natural-born citizen via his mother.

I'll reserve my judgment on the type of citizenship Obama has until I see sufficient evidence.
