In addition Sand Rat the Panama Canal Zone at the time was governed by an American govenor, they had US courts within the zone and their own civilian police force. Anyone born in a US hospital within the Canal Zone was considered a US citizen including my two kids.

It's probably fruitless to ask, but why would a 17/18 year old American woman married to (or at least impregnated by) a Kenyan who was brought here to study at the expense of the US, go to a medically backward country such as Kenya to give birth?

Amen, that would be a “fair” deal. And this time the media is not allwed to pick the candidates. Do it with a national primary, all candidates on the ballot. Top three in a runoff and top vote getter - not delegates - is the nominee.

The reporter likely wrote the article about McCain because of her ardor for Obama ("Maybe Barack will notice my article!"). I wouldn't expect her to leap onto the COB forgery shenanigans any time soon.

I've seen the threads, but my understanding was that the blogger admitted that the birth certificate was forged. The same one that the Obama campaign is putting out as authentic.
