A local talk-show here coined the phrase “la Raza, The klan with the tan” several years ago. (many have copied it since) But could someone tell me what the difference is between the Black Panthers, the KKK and La Raza? Simply the skin color you choose to hate?
The panthers and kkk don’t have an official day.

Err... the group is the “National Council of La Raza (The Race)” this is not a local declaration of a national day.
Mayor Sanders was asked about this by Roger Hedgecock on this afternoon’s show. The mayor claims the group now “seems mainstream” but acknowledged there may be a lot of complaints over this proclamation. He did not seem very informed about La Raza’s true nature.
