I’ve never been there, but from the photos I’ve seen, a few oil wells would be an improvement up there.

I just noticed that on that list of things paid for by the gas taxes are "10 miles of new HOV lanes from Gig Harbor to Tacoma". They forget the nearly $1billion$ that is being paid by tolls for the bridge, and it's only about 5 miles to I-5 from there, and only part of it got an extra lane.

They must be counting both directions, and the portions that they just painted a diamond in the original general use lane.
