clearly, this is a no win situation....the courts try to keep bonds open between mother/children and father/children....but it has no wisdom when it comes to keeping the kids safe from the abusive father or mother.....
this killer is pure adolescent, impulsive, "I don't care if it scars my children for their entire life" type of evil.
he either killed himself like cowards usually do or cry like a baby when confronted.....all in all, its ME,ME,ME, and more ME....its all about him and his feelings and his wants...

The trouble with DV is that there are no standards and no real protection. Verbal allegations is all it takes in a court to get a person (usually the husband) thrown in the street, because a judge is more concerned about protecting his butt than actually doing his job. Sadly enough, the judges' are forced into this mode of behavior by the press and PC NAZIs.
The result is a lot of injustice on one hand, and alot of useless Protective Orders on the other.
Oh, and the courts have a way of allowing bad evidence in and excluding perfectly good evidence in order to get the result they want.
My heart goes out to women who are abused, but those who abuse the DV laws need to do manditory jailtime.
