Nah, there were 3 suits filed:

Ontario HRC: declined to hear
Canadian HRC: declined to hear
British Columbia HRC: in deliberation for a couple weeks now

We enthusiastically support those parliamentarians who are calling for legislative review of the commissions with regard to speech issues."

I have an idea for a way they could solve this.

Parliament shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It is being seen by conservatives here as a bitter victory.
Clearly the CHRC wimped out because they were up against the national media and Macleans, which has big pockets. It won't stop them for stepping on individuals who can't afford to defend themselves. They are also hoping the heat will now come off them. There is a RCMP investigation, a private member's bill to remove Section 13, and the threat of a Parliamentary Inquiry.

So they are hoping their defenders can say “see, all this worry was paranoia, so lets drop the Inquiry”

And they only had to spend How Much? of their time and money on attorney’s fees?
