Huh?

BTW: Previouly published stuff (An 0-6 w/ 27 years didn’t have enough for his kids to eat lunch. Right.)

Lofton, who has served in the Air Force for almost 27 years and became commander of the 82nd TRG in July 2004, pleaded guilty to two counts under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Failure to Obey an Order or Regulation, relating to the misuse of his government-issued travel card.

“I misused my government travel card. I was going through difficult financial times, and I used it to pay for my daughters’ school lunch program,” Lofton said during proceedings about the three different instances in which he used his government travel card to pay for his three daughters’ lunch programs at school. The charges equaled $225.

He said he knew it was wrong to use the card in this manner but said his daughters would not have been able to eat lunch at school without it.

How in the world did a turkey like this ever rise to be an O-6? Unbelievable. Even an E-6 knows better than that.

140 years in prison for that? We are lucky if a guy gets life for murder.

“Faced with” is always just a number. Added up the max for the charges and I guess you get 140.

That boy does have issues doesn't he? His excuse is his daughters school lunch program!?!? Pulease.I would love to see a copy of the cards transactions, I'm assuming and we all know what that means, but I bet if there is even one payment to the the school I'd be shocked.

Old saying in the military, when the hand out promotions they don’t necessarily hand out brains.

When I was a very young Airman First Class I remember and old Staff Sergeant giving me some very good advice; “Every time a man thinks with the head of his **** all it does is get him into trouble.”

Your old Staff Sergeant was more eloquent than my Father, a Senior Master Sergeant. My Father told me his axiom was Don't F@$% the help and that advice was adhered to since then, including 10 years in the USAF and in private business.

Does the Air Force hand out ribbons for waking up in the morning? I thought the Army gave them out like water but the Air Force seem to have even more.

I can’t make out all of them but he’s got a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, a Meritorious service Medal with multiple awards, a Joint Service Commendation medal, an Air Force commendation medal, an Air Force Achievement medal, a Distinguished Unit citation with devices, an Organizational Excellence award, long and short overseas tour ribbons, National Defense Service medal, Small Arms Expert, AF Training ribbon, and a couple I can’t make out. Not a bad haul for a non-flyboy.

Sounds like he had a pretty good career with very good performance until he f-ed up.
