Powell gave $2,300 to McCain’s campaign.
Indeed.

Well said.
We are so screwed...
There’s bad and worse...
Dark days ahead.
If only we had a Conservative in the White House (and more in Congress), the DNC would be toast now.
The only “Obamicon” I know of is Robert Novak.
I think so too.
The GOP overlords screwed up bad and its going to cost us all dearly. I can only guess they thought Hillary was a shoe in and that Clinton revived the Republicans in congress back in the 90’s and could do so again. That they’d let McCain have “his turn” as the throw away candidate.
But that isn’t what happened.
Really?
Novak has said he supports Obama?
Why would Powell give $2,300 to McCain only to support Obama?
More WaPo BDS BS. I guess they haven’t laid off enough left-wing shills.
(gack!) It’s Novak!
Who remembers Hagel's tease of a press conference, where he announced that he was going to think about running for President? The reason Hagel is retiring, is that he was going to get beat in the GOP primary.
My question was has Novak said that he (Novak) supports Obama. I find that hard to believe - but who knows...
No, I don’t think Novak has or will publicly support Obama but perpetuating this “straw man” called an Obamacon supports the notion that the GOP has gone too far to the right and many Republicans are all set to jump ship and vote for Obama. Novak may or may not do that himself but clearly he doesn’t think that the GOP needs more conservatives to make it right and he’s blaming Bush for being too conservative... not too liberal.
We had one, but he wasn’t “viable”. Whatever the hell that means. It appears that a Marxist Senator from a racist church, a few years removed from the Illinois Legislature is “viable” So viable means: A person the media supports and/or endorses and the sheeple “baa” and get on in line. This isn’t a Democracy, it’s an American Idolocracy that sees itself as entitled, Government as it’s daddy, and that will soon have more riding in the Socialists Dream Wagon than pulling it.
