And they wonder why the GOP is dead.

The GOP needs to die. They are worthless. But, I'm sure there will be some bogeyman to make us all run back to them that suddenly appears. The fools that keep voitng for the lesser of two evils are still promoting evil.

I’m seriously considering ditching the GOP. They are a bunch of pathetic, bloodsucking leeches who’ll whore themselves out to any corporate interest who needs a bailout. They are also encouraging government dependency (intentionally?) and creating moral hazard.

"Borrowers would be eligible for the housing rescue if their mortgage holders were willing to take a substantial loss and allow them to refinance, and if they could show an ability to make payments on the new loan. They would ultimately have to share with the government a portion of any profits they made from selling or refinancing their properties."

This should be interesting.

KG9:

If only I had purchased that $2.2 million home in Palo Alto a few years back. I would have defintely been foreclosed upon and in a perfect position to take advantage of all this $$$.

Live and learn.

On a side note, I just spoke with a friend who was "let go" from a medical start-up a few weeks ago. Turns out his unemployment is scheduled to run all of the way through October...2009.

Schmucks indeed.

How come the US taxpayer has to bail out speculators in housing but speculators in oil futures are the scum of the earth?

Dodd embodies everything wrong with the leaders of this country right now.

Trade in the wife, get sweet handshakes, and screw the electorate.

Pathetic waste of a human being. Ruining his fathers good name day by day and Connecticuts reputation for having educated citizens.
