In the tragic event that Obama actually wins...God forbid!, I hope Bush takes him aside in early January and confides in him.

We have troops in Iraq and troops in Afghanistan. They need a large parking lot for their tanks, humvees, helicopters etc... Well, Iran is right in between them, perfect!!

Bombing a bunch of buildings and bunkers isn’t enough. So I doubt W. bombs them. I don’t think W. is willing to wipe them off the face of the earth.... which is what it would take to end their nuclear program.
And they know this.

We’re already asking enough of our soldiers without adding another front to the war. I don’t support expanding it to include Iran.

I'm sure that won't be the case. We drop tactical nukes in the middle east, and we instantly unify every other country in the area against us. With China and Russia playing the backfield.
Even our "buddies" in Saudi Arabia will turn their backs.

I look at it from an economic standpoint. The dollar is worthless already, I would hate to see what it would look like after we borrow money from the Chinese to go to war with Iran.
To: militant2; mysterio
We don’t need another “Hearts & Minds” war. Sufficient “Shock & Awe” will do just fine.

.........at a summit with the European Union, Bush's approach was milder. He emphasized the need for tough new sanctions but made no mention of "all options" being on the table.Of course, sanctions are the way to go. We all know how well they worked in overthrowing Castro, toppling Hussein and removing the horny little toad from power in North Korea.
As a matter of fact, the president should appoint a Sanctions Czar and ask Congress to fund a Bureau of Sanctions.

Another phantom story. Examples:
The recession of 2008 that never happened.
The hurricane season of 2007 that never happened.
The housing crisis of 2008 that never happened.
The flu deaths of 2007/2008 that never happened.
The war with Iran that never happened.
