I've lived here for 16 years, having moved from Communist New England. I thought at the time that I had landed in heaven. And it was, back then, to a degree.
Here's the scoop, today.
Gun laws, good to excellent. CCW and open carry OK.
Unemployment, not so good. We're bleeding jobs.
Taxes, horrible. We're now ranked #5 nationally for overall tax burden.
Education, not so hot. Totally property tax based, therefore subject to economic woes.
Weather. Just awful. In Columbus, we average 80 clear days per year.
People, wonderful. It still is a good place to raise a family from that standpoint.
Good luck with your move.
“It amazes one to say it, but this Dem is a friend of the Second Amendment. The previous two Republican governors, Taft and Voinovich, would have vetoed this bill in a heartbeat. RINOS just suck.”
I know, right now I am confused. Seems Taft and G.V. were actually Rat’s as in Demorat’s.
I don't see how, unless the crook is at home when he shoots someone breaking in, and if that's all it does, I don't really see a problem with that.
