Think Mr. McCain got this message?
He does not understand that he is running for President of the United States that is clearly understood. This guy is so ignorant for even trying this stunt at this time. He is seriously doing damage to himself and making Obama a very happy man. How many people get legislative bills stopped by their own party during an election cycle?????? Is this guy for real or what?
To: Red Steel
Fellow Republicans in the Senate on Friday issued a stern message — a rebuke, really — to the man who will lead the party in November, by blocking a bill that sought to establish a noxious cap-and-trade system to combat “global warming.”
Oh, good. We're starting off great with this party unity thing. Makes this party look great in the eyes of those who have not yet chosen a candidate to support. As is we weren't having enough trouble already.
But...at least somebody in the Republican party got up enough sense to block this "pro-Global Warming prevention" bill. I suppose it might be a step in the right direction (no pun intended) for the Republicans.
I am being too hopeful to think that this might be the first link in a chain of events that will see the rise of true conservatism in Congress--maybe even the emergence of a truly conservative presidential candidate to replace ol' McCandy

I guess when he get’s the 60 Democratics in the Senate he’ll get this past.

Energy is the “economy, stupid” during this election year.
McCain needs to get out in front of this issue, and not rely on the tired old schemes of the past. We need to drill for our own oil, we need to apply our technology to super nuke power, and we need to tell the rest of the world to go pound sand on this issue. Cap and trade is just a mega tax, not a solution.
C’mon, John, I know you can do it!

John McCain is a socialist like Obama. He wants to destroy our freedoms and limited form of government by subordinating them to fighting "global warming." Tell me what poison to swallow in November.

“outgoing Republican John Warner of Virginia”
Why is it that outgoing Republican senators and representatives seem to take a hard turn to the left when they no longer need to answer to their constituency?

"Why is it that outgoing Republican senators and representatives seem to take a hard turn to the left when they no longer need to answer to their constituency?" Follow the money! Think PORK!!! Think Dennis Hastert and his ineffectual leadership!! Watch for the payoffs to Domenici and Warner (refusing to vote on the budget) See tag.

To: reaganator
10s of thousands of jobs depends on there being a climate crisis. Eliminate them. Both parties had no problem closing down plants here and sending them to third world countries on the cheap. Time for the white collars to feel the pain as well.
Your job is our domain. It's all for the greater good of course. So say the deciders.
