i remember once when i was visiting phoenix

that an american college kid was shot dead by a mexican gang

at a subway in scottsdale.

they didn’t have to kill him; they could have just taken the money.

the gang escaped to mexico.

the mexican gang is an example of hate mongering.

i’ve met many mexican nationals that feel their country and culture is superior to the u.s.

As have I, and I quickly and very firmly disabuse them of such false pride thoughts.

If I were to judge Lou Dobbs by who his friends are, he might come up short in my estimation. But when I
judge him by who his enemies are, then he stands very very tall. Because his enemies are my enemies and they want to destroy the rule of law as well as this nation while bankrupting the social welfare state.

So,...12 million illegal aliens are going to “boycott” CNN.

What kind of threat is that? How do you measure the impact? It's ridiculous and unrealistic.

What are they going to do, turn off CNN at the local Mexican restaurant?

I've got some news for these folks. Unless they've got some secret Spanish only broadcast that the rest of us can't get on DTV, these folks aren't siting around watching Lou Dobbs or Anderson Cooper on CNN. They're watching soccer and Mexican soap operas on Telemundo. If those were my only 2 choices, I would too. I can't stand soccer, but the women are far hotter on Spanish TV (even if I can only understand about 50% of what they say).

The “masses” of Mexicanos aren't watching CNN, but American liberals are, and that's really the target of this hyperbole.

Hell... if they do boycott CNN, and it has some unforeseen impact, and it drives CNN off the air, IMO that's a great public service to America, and they should be commended for it.

Excellent cartoon. It has been my personal opinion, that social security will not be the first public pension plan to go heads up. The feds have a printing press to print money. It is the state and local pension plans that will go broke first. In a very perverse way, illegals as long as they stay illegal are probably a plus to social security. The most devastating social service costs caused by illegals are borne by state and local governments.

The statistics are out there on ‘Latino’ crime, social abuse, and on and on. “La Raza” means the race. It’s non whites who have groups promoting their race. Poor latino’s. A 51 year old white got shot in the back and murdered recently in my town for no reason. The murderer a 22 year old Mexican who ran back to Mexico. There are endless stories in America like this.

Further down in the comments section, somebody did answer good old Carlos.

They told him to go to any Home Depot parking lot. I can add supermarket parking lots and also under freeway overpasses (when it's hot).

Hey Carlos, there are dozens of places to find begging illegals gathering. Sometimes I don't even have to leave my house! They ring the doorbell and beg to do yardwork. Poor delusional Carlos!

BACKSTORY A recent FR report indicated a Corpus Christi Sheriff is looking for 19 undocumented immigrants from Honduras who had cell phones and may be receiving help to remain hidden from authorities.

(Snort) The prevailing wage in Honduras at $3 per day.........yet they have cell phones and are able to pay the freight to get over the border?

THE REAL STORY These invaders are working for drug cartels who supply them w/ cell phones and all that is necessary to clear the way for bigtime drug smuggling.

Even as we type, Mexican and Columbian drug cartels are waging war in border towns near New Mexico to carve out their turf.

Two reasons:

(1) Drug cartels envision huge profits now that Mexican trucks are hauling on US highways--- the trucks are easily loaded up with drugs and illegal aliens (drug runners) with no fear of L/E-----b/c Bush authorized this atrocity.

(2) The US is overrun by invaders from Third World countries, who are organizing themselves into a voting bloc. They use fraudulent documents, stolen IDs and multiple addresses to register in several precincts.

The longterm plan is to takeover the US government to change our laws.

Drug cartels are setting themselves up to benefit from this.

As one FReeper posted: these ‘migrants’ are not starving, they’re here to loot US govt benefits.

They send billions back to their “homeland.”

Part of the “remittances” is drug money being laundered through Western Union, going back to the cartels.

Mexican officials are also getting a cut.

Awful nice of the Arizona Daily Star to mention the Hispanic Institute’s boycott.

I’m afraid I missed their press conference announcing it on the Capitol steps.

Funny you should mention that. There have been a spate of articles this past week on counties and municipalities declaring bankruptcy to get out from under their public pension obligations.

Then there’s Ahnuld’s California.

I guess the real Social Security cave is just not dramatic enough...

_______________________________________________________________________________

“...Physically, the trust fund consists of 8-by-11-inch sheets of paper, fastened inside two notebooks and tucked in a drawer of a four-drawer filing cabinet at the U.S. Bureau of the Public Debt in Parkersburg, W.Va. The drawer is secured by a combination lock.

“This is it,” bureau official Susan Chapman told the president as they looked at the cabinet...”

_________________________________________________________________________________

Doesn’t pack quite the same frisson of drama in real life.
