Obama probably needn’t worry. His opponent has a liberal problem of his own.

He’s the Manchurian marxist candidate. How long can he keep up the empty suit platitudes before people start asking questions.
We know the media won’t.

“
Is Barack Obama the next George McGovern?” Obama is far more liberal than McGovern ever was.
There has never been a presidential candidate who was anywhere near as hard line left wing as Obama is.
The guy is just plain scary.
Of course McGovern will do lie through his teeth and deny it in at attempt to fool the public and get Obama elected. But facts are facts.

Is Barack Obama the next George McGovern? No.
George McGovern wasn't racist.

"I find him a pretty moderate liberal."
What the hell is a "moderate liberal?"
The Terrorist Loving Magic Negro has the most liberal voting record of any senator... ever.

I know the polls show a tight race now. But I have a feeling that Obama can only go downhill as the general election campaign gets going. It may not be a McGovern style landslide, but McCain has a chance for a solid victory.
To: Dilbert San Diego
The thought of having another crook in the White House(Clinton being the other) drives me to vote for McCain.

"...he added: I dont think Obama is all that radical. I find him a pretty moderate liberal. From the very beginning, hes been going after
Republican and independent voters and thats what we need to do.
wait....whaaa?....huh? (extreme RINO's maybe)

amnesty, abortion and acid.
Obama - Wright, wrong and racketeering
To: Free ThinkerNY
McGovern, a decorated second world war pilot, was defined by opponents as the candidate of amnesty, abortion and acid. Republicans are looking for a similarly pithy formula to define Obama as an antipatriotic appeaser. The candidate of terrorists, tyrants, and taxes.

(Difference #1 between McCain and Obama: McCain is actually qualified to be president.)
To: Free ThinkerNY
McGovern compares Obama favorably with Lincoln. No, not George Lincoln Rockwell, the American Nazi, or Lincoln Hayes, the character played by Clarence Williams on the old Mod Squad series. ABRAHAM Lincoln, generally regarded as one of the greatest U.S. presidents in history.
Which just shows what a complete nutcake McGovern is.

You can't compare Obama to McGovern. McGovern had only the college kids and old communists in his corner. Obama has those, plus the media, academia, Hollywood, Baby Boomers, and of course 95% of all black voters. Blacks constitute 12% of the population, and you can bet that 75% of eligible black voters will actually go and vote.
Then there's the fact that most conservatives despise McCain. And then there's Bob Barr...
The scenario is nothing like 1972.
