They tried to switch me to a generic,

The pharmacy at our local supermarket chain did that with one of my wife's prescriptions one time. Filled it with generic without telling us.

I got home from work only to find her on the floor with the house spinning around her. Turns out she was VERY allergic to something in the generic. We ended up in the emergency room.

We should've sued, but being fine upstanding folk, we just let it go and changed pharmacies.

Boy, were we stupid!!!!!

I have been a Walgreen’s customer for close to ten years if not more. I left CVS because they were so rude. Would never return to them.

I really like Walgreen’s. They have been conscientious and careful with every prescription.

Just my 2 cents.

What it appears that they were doing was taking the pricing 3/11/21 or what ever is was and giving you choice A while billing for B or C.. They would say it had a name so they could charge more. Choice A might work for 90% of the people. Too bad if your in the 10%.

That situation with your wife is exactly why it's dumb for the ‘suits’ to institute policy changes that ignore the importance of getting consent from the patient. Besides, it just irritates me for corporations to adopt high-handed attitudes.

I'd been through the changing pharmacies drill a few times, and Walgreen's was actually the best of the local alternatives, so I just decided to fight it out with the one I had. One little positive effect is that they know me by name now. :-)

Looks can be deceiving, can’t they? Knoxville is better than some places to live, worse than others. Local government is a joke. We have a renegade lawyer, Herb Moncier, who keeps us embroiled in lawsuit after lawsuit costing the citizens big bucks. He literally earns his living suing Sheriffs, County Commissions, and Judges thus enabling him to defend criminals at little or no cost. The newspaper editor loves him. The Federal Courts have suspended his priviledges to practice in the Fed courts. The taxpayers are tired of his endless lawsuits. We’ve had 2 major fires recently involving dump sites in residential areas. No one seems to have the balls to hold the landowners responsible. One fire has been burning for months underground; the other was a “recycling” holding area for shredded tires. We have a DA, Randy Nichols, who sees no evil, hears no evil, etc. He finally recused himself when pressured to bring charges against the County Mayor (funny things going on with $$ and expense accounts). Oh yeah, it’s a lovely place to live.
