What is the Senate doing?

That's easy, they are facilitating the redistribution of western, primarily American in this case, wealth.

The McCain-GOP platform for a change we can get hosed with.

Wow, what a chart! Anyone who thinks W is a conservative should ponder this chart. It’s like Bubba hid the Veto stamp when he looted the White House on his way out.

I am w/SAJ on this, I don't think that pressure can be successfully brought within California to fight this specific bill. There is no "government responsibility" whatsoever within the CA state government and there certainly isn't any measure of shame that can be brought to bear on Brain-dead Boxer. This would be like calling a prostitute a tramp, or calling a pig a slob. Folks, we are under assault on multiple fronts, and the damned parasites at war with this country are counting on an [American] "Idol" electorate.

Surely, if the people of California understand Boxer is responsible for this debacle, they will hold her responsible.

HAR-HAR-HAR-HAR!

I like you! You're funny!

Not a defender of GWB anymore, but he inherited the Dot com crash and less then a year into his administration 911 occurred. Basically the attack on 911 stopped and then slowed a sputtering economy. We have been on a war footing ever since. To slow or hamper the US economic engine in this current situation would be suicide for the west.

I agree W had an unusually large amount of problems. But he still largely governed as a fiscal moderate, not a conservative.

Regardless, I think I’m soon going to long for a president half as conservative as W, no matter who wins.
