(This story was originally printed on May 14, 1973....now that the "real election" is starting tonight what better time to start informing the American public what the "real John McCain" went through as a prisoner of war, fighting for and believing in his country.)

John McCain = Right stuff
Barack Hussein Obama = Wright stuff

War hero, yes. Political traitor, yes. My vote, no.

After the Forrestal incident... I've known he could dance, and was a survivor.
He's not my candidate, but respect where respect is due. He's walked the walk.

“All through this period, the “gooks” were bombarding us with antiwar quotes from people in high places back in Washington. This was the most effective propaganda they had to use against us speeches and statements by men who were generally respected in the United States.. . Ted Kennedy was quoted again and again. . . “
1. Curious how he can not beat the sh!t out of Kennedy.
2. Amazing story; he clearly knows the “world opinion” B.S.
3. It kills me that this guy is basically a big government liberal.

McCain’s greatness peaked when he walked off the freedom bird.

Old guy may be a war hero, but he is a lefty ruining the conservative cause and sending America leftward.
He may be a hero in the war, but he is only a hero of the MSM and Democrat Congress in the last 10 years.

(I had almost forgotten that McCain is the nominee. Too bad I was reminded.)

“...I have heard there was one B-52 pilot who refused to fly the missions during the Christmas bombing. You always run into that kind. When the going gets tough, they find out their conscience is bothering them.....”
Things haven’t changed much...
McCain is a hero..

McCain deserves his hero status and our deepest respect.
I oppose many of his political positions, but also realize Obama isn't worthy to shine his shoes.
The only reason I'm voting for McCain is because Obama is a unrepentant Marxist

Thank you for posting this. It may have been long, but I found myself compelled to read the whole thing. Even though I’ve disagreed with many things McCain has done, I’ve never thought of him as dishonest or dishonorable. And after reading this, I have to say that I have a deepened respect for him as a man of self-sacrifice and faith.

Of the many personal accounts coming to light about the almost
unbelievably cruel treatment accorded American prisoners of
war in Vietnam, none is more dramatic than that of Lieut. Commander
John S. McCain III
There are probably more hideous stories. But the afflicted
died and thus couldn't tell their tale.
For a second opinion on McCain and his Hanoi Hilton years, folks
should read this book:
"American Patriot" by Robert Corum.
It's about Col. Bud Day. His account of POW McCain is not totally complimentary.
BUT, when I saw Col. Day on the podium with McCain during the
Iowa primary, I figured I could vote for McCain if he ended up
the Republican candidate.
He's certainly not my first choice.
But voting for him in November and NOT staying home surely will
p-ss off some of my liberal-Democrat accquaintances.

This video has a lot of Col. Bud Day on it, talking about John McCain. In the video he doesn’t mention but I’ve heard him say it before that it was John McCain who set his broken arm when the vietnamese refused to do so:

McCain deserves his hero status and our deepest respect. Not in my book! He was a victim...not a hero. He didn't do anything great; he was captured.

After you spend 5 1/2 in a POW camp...That wouldn't make either of us a hero.
