I tend to believe the rumors given the footwork we see on the obama side

1. Not denying the video outright.
2. Keeping Michelle hidden.
3. Quitting the church.

If they’re not guilty they’re sure doing a pretty good impression of someone who is.

Even if it is successfully argued that Michelle is saying “why’d he” instead of “whitey” it will still turn off many whites based on the tone and possibility that it could be “whitey”. Not worth the risk especially with a liberal republican to choose from.

If that’s the quote in question then it’s ambigous and could be taken two ways. The first “Whitey” could have been “Why’d he” as in “What’s up with “Why’d he”; Why’d he does this, why’d he do that, why’d he do the other.

Good observation. No doubt that will be the spin if the tape exists. However, the written transcript's repetitive use of "why'd he" may itself be pre-emptive spin of a much more damning audio.

Additionally, I wouldn't discount the possibility that the "whitey/why'd he" homophone was a deliberate double entrdre of sorts, specifically employed to afford plausible deniability; delivered with a knowing look, trusting the audience to appreciate the inside joke.

I agree - it's way too early to get on board. But the story is almost certainly coming from somewhere other than the fertile imagination of Mr. Johnson.

The appropriate questions are: who is promoting this story and why? It may be the real deal (knowing what you already know about Michelle Obama, is it really that much of a stretch?) ... or it might be disinformation designed to discredit conservative news sources that prematurely promote it. We'll see.

I used to work with an "educated" woman very much like Michelle Obama. She had an engineering degree, yet she was a dumb as a rock, hated white people, and blamed everything bad that happened to her on whitey.

Yesterday, a post indicated one of the networks has the tape. If that is fact, aside from FOX having it, this tape will never see the light of day.

I will be slightly surprised if this video exists. What gives me a little hope that it does is that early in the campaign it was revealed, and the Clinton campaign confirmed that they had a huge bomb on Obama, but they weren't going to use it for several reasons and never disclosed what it could possibly be. Some speculated it was the "drug dealer" question that some Clinton supporters said the GOP would raise in the general election.

Over the weekend I have come to believe that it is the video of Michelle. But with such a lose cannon husband who has been less than helpful to her in the campaign, and with his checkered past on a wide variety of things, the Hillary campaign determined that going after Obama's spouse was not going to help as Bill is huge and very legitimate target for Obama's camp to go after.
