Obama has been a member of the black version of the KKK for 20 years. His friends and preachers are all avid black KKK members who practice black storm front teachings. He IS a racist. The mentality that allows him a free pass on this is sickening. If a white person showed such racist ties he would have been shouted out of politics and perhaps thrown in jail.

This needs to be shouted from the housetops, wake up America! Black liberation teaching is as racist and dangerous as ANYTHING the KKK or white supremacy ever came up with. Do blacks put up with the KKK, hell no they don't. They push for its eradication because they recognize the danger it presents toward their race. Why should white people have to act as though black hate, racism and prejudice is less evil. Why shouldn't these black hucksters be delegated to the the same level as their white racist counterparts have been. They call them reveruuund, I call them grand dragons of black KKK theology, all they lack is hoods.

Obama told a reporter from the Chicago Sun-Times that he had three spiritual mentors or counselors: Jeremiah Wright, James Meeks and Father Michael Pfleger.

Obama is essentially saying that he has officially quit the Ku Klux Klan but that his "mentors" are the current KKK Grand Wizard, the current leader of Storm Front and David Duke.

But, since he officially quit the KKK, that makes it all hunky dory.

That was my take as well. He's been hoping that this would die off, and eventually seeking a way out, for months. Suddenly, out of the blue, a WHITE priest shows up at this black separatist "church" and starts spewing garbage. Then Obama gets to bow out due to the rantings of a WHITE priest. Ya, sure.

Best and most concise summary of the situation I've seen so far.

Although Pfleger might be the counterpart to some obscure black guy the KKK promoted to a leadership position some years ago because he really believed in their white supremacy crap. I don't recall the details, but the guy was such a hoot, he was on the late night talk-show circuit in the late 1960's.
