pissant,
Once again you bring me good news and a smile.
Thank you,
Jack

Great way to start the day.
Coffee and a dead terrorist. The fact that this dirtball was waxed with a drone makes it even cooler.

Some people may not know where every village in Pakistan is located. I am glad you are among the all knowing.

What a great way to start a new month and new week:
“’The ability to kill and capture key members of al-Qaeda continues, and keeps them off balance - even in their best safe haven along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border,’ Hayden said. Hayden added that al-Qaeda had been defeated in Saudi Arabia, was losing the battle for hearts and minds in the Islamic world and was now unable to exploit the Iraq war to draw in new recruits.’”

So, wheres the controversy? I dont get it......Consider the source: The Guardian is a hard-left British news rag, thus anything that benefits the US is by definition "controversial".
When the intifada comes to Fleet Street, boy, will they ever be surprised.

The tribal leaders rebelled against the Pak central government in order to win autonomy.
I hope they enjoy their autonomy. The Pak central govt will not attempt to impose its will upon them, but neither will it complain about US attacks on their territory

Abu Suleiman al-Jazairi, a highly experienced Algerian militant
I've noticed several of these guys seem to have last names indicating the country where they're from. Al-Jaza'ir is Algeria in Arabic, and Libia is Libya (as in Abu Laith al-Libi). And many of them go by their kuniyya name, i.e. Abu (father of) followed by the name of their oldest son. (Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, etc). Is this some sort of pseudonym to hide their actual name? Instead all you know is their country of origin and the name of their first son....

An al-Qaeda trainer and explosives specialist involved in a range of European terrorist networks has been killed in Pakistan, the latest senior militant to die in a spate of controversial American missile strikes.
The Guardian can kiss my "controversy" where the sun doesn't shine. This is only controversial if you are a terrorist enabler.

The coords SV provided us shows a area well below local mountain ranges. Almost ten miles east of the border. These drones and their pilots are obviously doing a splendid job. This area is quite remote. I believe above the Kyber Pass. And our new control center where I believe most of our drones are launched from is well south east on the Afghan border across from Warsitan (south or north?), so it sure looks they had to fly the plane some distance to get to the target area (perhaps some hundred miles plus each way).
HVT successes like this must be the work of insider's payed off or piss off by the top goon. Imagine looking at this tiny shit hole in nowhere land. How could we ever find someone perhaps often on the move if it where not for insider help. Off course I assume they where not using Sat phone services. But only human couriers. Perhaps that was not the case. No response required. Only thinking out loud.

Is this some sort of pseudonym to hide their actual name?Yes. & sometimes it's not really their oldest sons' name but the name of a prophet or someone they admire.
