They won't make the difference. In 2006, it was moderates and independents who swung the election. There are other issues in a number of states this year as well.
Calif. ruling revives gay marriage debate
Fairness On the Ballot (5 states vote on reverse discrimination this November)
Polls at this time of year for the Presidency don't mean jack.
This is NO gaffe. Obama's uncle did help liberate the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz. Obama's uncle fought in the red army, loved Stalin, and was sent back to the United States to form a sleeper cell ;)
Polls? Who cares about polls. I don't need a poll to tell me that this is the most -- pardon the word -- audacious propaganda campaign I've seen in my lifetime. I don't need a poll to show me that there is powerful machinery promoting this self-aggrandizing huckster for its own ends.
You seem to be measuring the zeitgeist by traditional parameters. I'm saying, "the rules have changed before your eyes."
Even when the nation wasn't on such an indiluted dose of Kool-Aid in 2000, we were treated to a media parade as some fixers from Chicago managed to make the Presidential election seem as if it was as close as a handful of "chads."
They've honed their craft, and they're more ambitious than ever. They nearly pulled it off then. They are going for broke now.
Obama garners far more adoration, and it is promoted more effectively and brazenly, than anything I've seen, ever. Against this image, John McCain isn't even visible.
Do you realize what's taking place?
Communism has flopped everywhere it has been tried, and the Socialists in Europe are having turmoil from food and fuel price increases. It looks like a re-run of McGovern in 1972 or Dukakis in 1988, but I'm terribly ignorant. So tell me.
Obama's backers are among the slickest, sharpest, most ruthless and well-financed bunch crooks to ever come down the pike.
It's isn't about whether communism is a success or not. It's about the insatiable ambition for raw power.
This is the battle of the ages, again.
