Pat Buchannan has lost it. His only mode of thought is hatred of American power, and neoconservatives. That is why he has shilled for Saddam Hussein, Iran, Putin's Russia, and now Hitler.
It is so bad that
The American Conservative the magazine Buchannan started with the coke-head Greek Shipping Magnate Taki, and the
Palestinianist Scott McConnell rad this review.
May be there is some hope for The American Isolationist, but I see none for the candidate I supported in 2000.

Pat is still weeping for his lost Reich, I see.
What a complete turd. He either has no concept of fighting evil, or is actually evil himself.

Don't worry about finding it, Buchanan has to first change the definition of Empire to fit his accusation. Let the burden be upon him.
If we open a quarrel between past and present, we shall find that we have lost the future.

Never met a Nazi he did not side with.

Churchill did not declare war on Germany. Chamberlain gave Germany an ultimatum at the insistence of his Cabinet, which did not include Churchill. Germany declared war on the U.S. after we declared war on Japan. The notion that the Allies were mistaken in fighting Nazi Germany, and that this should be an example to the U.S. today, is so flawed one would hardly know where to start.

Thia was posted before. The book is cr@p; Buchanan’s research must have been a moldy rack of DC Comics’ “Sgt. Rock.”
I wouldn’t use the pages of this book to wipe my rear.

He is correct in the sense that our Republic is in trouble.
The difference between the Fall of the Roman Empire and ours, is this one will be televised.
We are weak, but it is of our choosing. We have not controlled our borders, enlarged our domestic drilling and refining capabilities, our Navy is getting smaller every day, States don’t decide Senators. Etc.
That is the big picture. Throw in the fact that we are practically shifting more left for each election and you get the current mess we have.

“The notion that the Allies were mistaken in fighting Nazi Germany, and that this should be an example to the U.S. today, is so flawed one would hardly know where to start.”
No doubt it is silly analysis, and Pat is not stupid, nor ignorant.
What Pat is doing, is twisting logic around because Pat is sad the Nazis were defeated, and he hates Jewish people.
People throw this around far too much, but Pat REALLY is a Nazi.

Yep, Buchannan is cracked and the only addition I would make to you list is his unrelenting hatred of Israel and apparently all Jews.
To claim that he only wanted to expel Jews from Europe is proven false by the events of WWII.
One does not authorize and enable the attempted murder of an entire race simply because they are "inconvenient." There must be a visceral hatred of an incomprehensible (to the sane) dimension for such a policy to be ennacted.
Buchannan has crossed the line and needs to be expunged from the roles of acceptable political commentators for this attempt to excuse the actions of Hitler. There is no excuse for genocide.

We’ve been missing you at our secret Bildeburger/Rothchild/Skull-and-Bones/Masons meetings where we decide these things. It’s appendix XIII; ask for it at the next secret rite where we decide the fate of the American Empire and party naked with our corporate cronies...

I agree with you 100%. The problem is that Pat damages this argument with his puerile jihad against anything neocons like.

As BenLurkin points out what empire?
We entered WWI with a standing army of about 100,000 men and as I recall four trucks and no planes. We entered WWII with not much more.
Does Pat mean Western Europe where we have stationed troops since 1945? If the US is a empire-who are our governor-generals running the colonies?
