Hmmmm......then how do you explain the fact that whenever the price per barrel goes up, the gas stations immediately raise their prices? On the other hand, when the price per barrel decreases, it seems to take several days for gas stations to reduce their price.
The answer is mostly sexual in nature.

I respond that it’s not true. As I said before, the price per barrel has increased to more than 6X its 2000 value, yet the price of gasoline has gone up only to 3x its 2000 level. Oil is only a small portion of the cost of gasoline.
