Val Thomas, 59, stopped breathing at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, and her family called paramedics. While they waited for help to arrive, they tried to revive her while others prayed. They estimate that she was without a heartbeat or oxygen for 15-20 minutes before she was put on a ventilator and transported to a Charleston, West Virginia hospital.

THIS is the reason there are wakes and vigils for the recently departed. Our forefathers had learned that there is good reason to allow time to be sure the presumed dead are really dead.
There was a huge dread of being buried alive.

No one will convince me that prayers are not answered in dire situations such as what my sister and my neice are currently going through. We’ve seen answers we’ve asked for over the past few weeks. This woman is just further evidence that God can and will answer prayer. Praise God. He is in control.
