McCain, as you say, will probably get my vote at this point, but he’ll not get my endorsement.

If he were to pick a Romney or a Pataki as a VP candidate, then he would put Michigan, Massachusetts, or New York into play. He’d be the moderate liberal running against the radical liberal.

That is why I will carefully listen regarding the Right to life. If he wavers even on iota he loses my vote. And keeping such company, especially if NY comes into play, would make him wonder about wavering on the Right to Life.

Financially and organizationally, he’d be best helped by the CINO, Mitt Romney. A Rino+Cino ticket. A rinocino??

In terms of his conservative base, he’d be best helped by Bobby Jindal, JC Watts, or Duncan Hunter. He’s not going there. He thinks we have no place else to go.

Not so, Mr McCain, Bob Barr has some appeal.
