It does have a very Randian message. Cool movie.

Ugh... I so wanna see this movie... but until my pregnant wife feels better... I cant! *whine* With any luck, in a few weeks, the producers will see a profit in putting "Iron Man" in IMAX theatres (can't understand why Hollywood decided against it in favor of "Speed Racer"!).

Wow. Small world! I would've seen this with my pregnant wife but she can't stay away from the bathroom for more than a half hour.

It was surprisingly good. I went to see it not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely recommended.

It was good. Nevermind the politics behind it, it was just a lot of fun. Downey Jr. is consistently very good and this is him at his best. Everyone else involved also did top notch work.
Too bad for it that I feel certain its reign as my favorite comic book movie is destined to be short lived. The Dark Knight looks to be flat out incredible.

I'm not a huge action hero movie fan, but I really enjoyed Iron Man! I think one of the reasons was pointed out in this article. The action sequences didn't go on ad infinitum.

My wife loved it and wants to see it again. I’m sure we’ll buy the video when it comes out. She’s not usually a fan of these types of movie so I’m guessing it’s appeal is across the board.

Not to mention, Robert Downey, Jr. is an admitted conservative.

This is not quite the same as watching it at the theatre, but if you can’t wait,
http://movie6.net/movie-/
Iron Man has disappeared from the site, for the moment, but it should show up again within the next day or so.
I’ve watched it about six times.
You can watch Indiana Jones! I watched half of it. It sucks.

Take heart and God bless the wives and the little ones.
This is the first movie that my son and I will be going together as a “buddy movie” for guys! He’s 10 now.
I been waiting for the just the right pic! We’re excited!

My wife loved it I usually stay away from action movies until they come out on DVD. They just seem so over the top, to me (not worth my $9 ticket, LOL.) Our son and my husband always see those type of movies in the theater. But the "kid" was busy, and my husband and I were out to dinner so we decided to see the movie. IMO, it was a refreshing departure from the "norm."

Stan Lee is a complicated guy, best characterized as a Scoop Jackson New Deal liberal. Several episodes of "Fantastic Four" featured the enemy, the "Red Ghost" and his band of mutated monkeys (metaphor?). But he was a little too obsessed with Nazis---the whole Captain America story line, and then, in one issue of FF, a guy named the "Hate Monger," who affects people's emotions . . . and when the hood is removed, it's Adolf Hitler!
Like so many, though, Lee drifted into total PC mushiness. The "X-Men" became a symbol of "oppression" of homosexuals. Very few Muslim/Arab enemies were developed. Police were usually portrayed as loyal, good-hearted, but inept, needing the assistance of Spider-Man or FF or Daredevil to do their work, and S.H.I.E.L.D. was a patriotic uber-CIA. But often (for good story) the military was the enemy. Lee's greatest plot lines involved turning one group or character (Avengers/X-Men/FF/Spider-Man) against another through the mind-control of the Puppet Master or some other secret, but necessary, motivation. In those, the military was usually the fall guy.
I think Lee, like so many, turned more sharply left after Vietnam.

I'd like to go see movies in a theater, and the money doesn't bother me, but it's the damn rude people. In "United 93" (of all movies) a teenage guy and his date were behind me chit chatting till I finally stared them off. They left. People on cell phones in "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST," if you can believe it!
But I have to laugh, in one big preview of a movie, there was a scene were a good guy just blew away some real baddies, and a black guy just leaped up and yelled, "That's my kinda s@%t!" The whole theater cracked up. So some of those "shared experiences" just can't be gotten at home.
