>> More weapons-related charges are pending.<<
His first mistake was storing this stuff on his own property. An off property cache would make so much more sense if somebody was inclined to do this stuff.
It would be interesting to find out what got the lawmen interested in this guy.
>>Bomb squad investigators recovered over 230 lbs. of 46 different chemicals commonly used to make explosives.<<
I’ll bet if you had the knowledge, what is stashed under the average kitchen sink would make some good bangers.
He’s a bit of a nutjob, but the latest report on the local news here in DC indicated that he was making his own fireworks. There was a similar bust just about a year ago in northern Virginia. That guy had a garage full of homemade fireworks. This guy in Maryland lived in a townhouse and didn’t even consider what would have happened to his neighbors if he had had a Palistinian-style “work accident” with his 230 pounds of chemicals. The guy in Virginia probably would have just blown up half of his own house. This guy could have torched a whole row of homes. Cops had gotten reports of fireworks being set off several times, but the neighbors interviewed were completely surprised by the raid. The reporters made a big deal about the guns, but acknowledged that they were legally possessed (until the arrest, that is). Bozo is spending the night in jail.
***Fedgov is really starting to crack down on civilian chemical ownership. Model rocketry has been hard hit, and amateur pyrotechnics has been hit as well, for instance flash powder is now a high explosive and sugar-potassium nitrate too.***
OMG! I have barbaque fuel, bug repellant and meat preservative at home!
I also have fertilizer and fuel oil! Am I doomed?
I can’t use the fertilizer on the ground due to new runnoff rules and how do I get rid of fuel oil without polluting something?
Pretty soon, they’ll round up the chemical engineers for thought crimes.... and bust mama for buying clorox and... um... nevermind.
Good job!!!
From the paulistian site: Let me disect from what i understand of truthers...
His Bio:
“US Navy veteran, Computer guru, Professional photographer. Worked inside Washington for 25 years in nearly every major agency, including World Bank, Pentagon.”
These are his credentials....he was on the inside...so he knows what is preaching is the *cough* truth....
“INTRODUCTION I am a 47 year old computer engineer and registered voter that believes the United States of America is the greatest country in the world.”
This is the disclaimer...hey...I love my country...
“I have never believed in any of the people listed on any ballot in any election I have seen since I turned 18.”
Intresting....so he has a long history of not trusting people on the ballot even though he spent 25 years working for an around Govt...
” I have been aware of the plan to destroy the USA for many years now “
Truthers always claim to be the enlightened...the just...the saviours....if only we would listen...
“and I have grown tired of preaching the danger to so many people who do not want to hear it.”
This is the action point...he knows the plan....he knows the “danger”..and we ignore it...
“I have been rejuvenated by the prospect of getting Ron Paul into office. Never before have I felt that one man could turn the establishment on its ear and potentially run all these un-American bastards out of office.”
He has found his messiah....the one he would follow...
“The American people are surprisingly waking up from a long and deep sleep that I always figured would consume them, albeit slowly.”
He means the freaks in whatever echo chamber on the internet that he frequents....his fellow truthers...
“There is nothing more important to any American right now than to fight off the attempts of the New World Order and its puppet masters from destroying the last few pieces of the United States Constitution before it is too late.”
Nothing more important...nothing...
“I want to help in any way I can so my son does not grow up in a fascist police state.”
Read that gain....any way he can...to save his son..
“Ron Paul is a wonderful breath of fresh air for an asphyxiated country. God bless America, we surely need it. Stop the New World Order. “
The pualisitinas are a wierd bunch..a mixture of leftists and far right wingers...
Note that the “bastards in washington’ would be the evil neo-cons...
Oh, nevermind. I hadn’t read the thread.
The guy that they busted was a 9-11 truther and a Ron Paul fan. Everyone else is safe from this silliness.
They won’t mess with anyone else. Don’t I feel foolish now.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
There are many aspects to civil disarmament, this is one.
True. Any police state will attempt to completely monopolize the possible use of force.
46 different chemicals commonly used to make explosives.
Yeah, I saw that and was immediately suspicious of this article. It means nothing or anything, depending upon your perspective.
I wouldn't trust someone from the BATF to to predict the rising of the sun. They are that duplicitous.
Well, I wasn’t thinking of anything quite that brutal. You’re a meanie!
>Dont I feel foolish now.<
Yes, I imagine you do.
chuckle, chuckle
Yes, Iodine and Ammonia. If I now had the home laboratory I had as a kid I would be deep in jail. I had a very well stocked lab as a kid, through my senior year of high school. One of the compounds I experimented with was an ammonia-iodine complex that was inherently unstable and not very hard to synthesize. I synthesized the compound and collected the resulting crystals. You could take a couple of the the crystals between your fingers and throw them on the floor and they would pop pretty loudly with a small flash. If you had a large enough amount of the stuff you could have created an explosive charge or used it as an initiator for a more explosive compound.
“I also have fertilizer and fuel oil! Am I doomed?”
Only if you have anti government literature or frequent extremist political sites.
Don’t worry.
Hey, what’s your address? Where do you work? What’s your social? Don’t worry.
Don’t worry.
“Hes a bit of a nutjob, but the latest report on the local news here in DC indicated that he was making his own fireworks.”
BATFE now considers flash powder to be High Explosive, so making flashpowder to make a firecracker or salute now requires a federal license. Theatrical flash powder is OK if it’s a binary and mixed on site, small quantities at a time.
