The whole procedure sounds barbaric like something performed by some Nazi doctor in a concentration camp. Just thinking about it makes me sick. How can anyone, any mother, defend such things?

the pba procedure generally takes 2 to 3 days to complete, that’s why it’s a load of hogwash that the politicians put a health-of-the-mother clause in the bills they write. Something is implanted and the cervix dialated overnight. If a mother is in an emergency situation, a simple c-section can be performed and the baby saved. If a mother really was critical from some type of medical illness or injury; she would not wait 2-3 days for a pba procedure, a c-section would be done and her ailment would be immediately treated the same day.
It’s a scam perpetrated by the evil ones out there, like that idiot tim russert on meet the depressed and all the democrat politicians, who constantly state and repeat themselves about having a “health of the mother” clause in the ban on pba legislation. Incidentally, the ban on PBA written by Smith and Santorum and signed by Bush does NOT ban the PBA procedure.
