I think you probably are referring to the old Stalinist types raised in the Thirties under the old Soviet hegemony of Communist parties internationally.
Which reminds me of the time in 1970 at UC Berkeley when the speed freaks,Weathermen and Telegraph Avenue street people were rampaging across campus on a rock throwing, window breaking spree. The mob stopped at a building and began trashing it.Several old Left Pro- Soviet types-I think they were Trotskyites-started to lecture the crazies about”alienating the working class”.They were literally jumped on by several in the mob and the wreckage continued.
The Left had its ways of eating its own back then. And if you think the Left are bad on college campuses now-Wow,there are complete sissies compared to some of the types that were around back in 1969.
No problem on being asked for citation. I try not to repeat rumors. This one has made the rounds on the internet but I wanted to find it on the NY Times site for myself (some people falsely attribute columns to make them sound genuine).
We need to be accurate and need to be careful because it is easier to take down a truthful detail by adding in some untrue elements than denying the entirety of the statement. Disinformation will be the Democrats’ ploy more often than not.
Excellent graphic posts devolve.
You and I post some good graphics and seem to end the threads..
Maybe it’s ‘shock and awe’, lolol.
[Great theme music]
Indeed!! And quite a crowd too.
.
Thanks potlatch -
Maybe more “Awe” than “Shock”!
[Maybe more Awe than Shock!]
Lol, the AWE is over all our wonderful graphics!
The SHOCK is that it looks like there were 75 thousand at the Obama rally and concert - which was mentioned the other night.
I’m 25 and proud to not be among the sheep.
“I think you probably are referring to the old Stalinist types raised in the Thirties under the old Soviet hegemony of Communist parties internationally.”
Raised in the 30s and 40s, Chicago Democrats. Close enough.
