This paralysis is nothing new; it was more than evident in the pre-2006 GOP congress (if a single useful measure -- say, a bill addressing illegal immigration -- had been passed in 2006, the GOP would likely have not lost all those seats).
The Whining RINOs will continue to blame that loss on the voters instead of the spineless politicians who didn't deserve to be re-elected.

It's also possible that a comet will strike the earth next year but they aren't booking the odds on it in Vegas.

I wouldn’t discount it out of hand. He would have the media rooting for him all the way, and is smart enough to not make the Bill Clinton 1993-1994 mistakes.
I don’t see the evidence that’s he’s half as smart as Bubba politically. Nor is this the ‘90s where the left has most of the media in its pocket. As the Clintoons are finding out.
