Thank You for this thread!
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen
Not only prayers for Ted Kennedy and his family...but also for posters who thought it necessary to leave disparaging remarks on all the closed threads...
I pray for Truth, Justice and God’s blessings to the righteous. Whoever they might be.
Let’s not forget that the left is VERY capable of posting something nasty under the guise of being one of the right’s own...
Thank you for this thread.
I join in prayers that Sen. Kennedy will be healed, fully. In both body and spirit. Spirit...especially. We ALL need God in our lives.
We’ve ALL fallen short...all of us.
Pray for Hillary! and Obama, while you’re at it, for THEIR salvation. Now wouldn’t THAT be something? :)
Agreed. I have to say I’m quite proud of the FR base, very few used this as an opportunity for something other than well wishing. Doesn’t matter what we think of his deeds, he is a human in dire need of the Lords touch, something we should wish for all. Good Lord help him and his family through this difficult time.
prayers up
An ex-boyfriend of mine died of this. What a horrible prognosis.
My mother died of a brain tumor in 1963. I remember the seizures she would suffer. Sitting at the breakfast table with the coffee cup shaking in her hand and falling over backwards in her chair. Or driving and pulling over and asking us(her sons)”who am I and where are we?”
I hate cancer. Can I just say that?
God bless the old coot. I hope he uses his time to draw closer to Him.
I’m not a huge fan of the man’s politics, but having had a friend die from this, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. My prayers for the Senator and his family - may God bless them all.
Regardless of your politics, this type of cancer is not something you wish on anyone or the families.
Slowly, over a period of a year or so, the victim will suffer great pains as their mind, body functions, and finally their heart cease functioning. The pains that come with it are tremendous and only the harshest of pain medicines can be used to even comfort the victim.
It is most difficult on the family to watch it happen slowly and in the end blessed relief is all you can pray for. It is quite literally Hell on Earth.
Prayers he will return to health with a new perspective and a clear mind.
Thanks for the thread!
Hah! I see you went to the top for your Moderator...
We all have a destination with death (unless Jesus returns first). Some sooner than others. Some unexpected.
Mr. Kennedy has the blessing of knowing the time of his departure is near.
Only God knows a man's inward heart. We only see the externals - peering as through a glass, darkly. We just see a sinner, like all of us, in need of repentance and a Saviour. We pray that Mr. Kennedy's final days will be peaceful, and that he comes to rest on the finished works of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hmm. I smell ozone.
God bless Senator Kennedy and I pray for his recovery. I’ve lost a member of my extended family (my mother-in-law, a great lady) to angiosarcoma recently and terminal cancer is not something I would wish on my worst enemy.
