Big news, actually, and thanks for posting. I’ll be watching this one. This technique was one of the most potentially powerful and least honest means of choking off an entire industry, just as the tobacco industry was assaulted. If this is truly the end of it it will affect more than the firearms industry, it will bring a breath of fresh air to every industry vulnerable to Big Tort Law.
Some young kid was injured by a ball hit by an aluminum bat. Unfortunately the kid is severely damaged mentally as the ball stopped his heart. The parents need money for his care, understandably. But they are suing the bat manufacturer, the Little League and one other party.
Evey time a human tragedy occurs, and severe grief ensures, like flies on a suppurating wound, the legal “profession” appears to attempt to make a killing.
They’re suing the sporting goods store where they purchased the bat.

Yes, but better keep them away from those evil SUVs. I shudder to think of the carnage!!
That, and the Chicago laws, should be the next target after Heller. Although maybe simultaneous with challenges to all Federal firearms laws, right back to and including, the Federal Firearms Act of '34.
