Marital Counseling
A husband and wife came for counseling after 20 years of marriage. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate, painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the 20 years they had been married.
She went on and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured over the course of their marriage.
Finally, after allowing this to go on for a sufficient length of time, the therapist got up, walked around the desk and, after asking the wife to stand, embraced and kissed her passionately as her husband watched with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze.
The therapist turned to the husband and said, “This is what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do this?”
The husband thought for a moment and replied, “Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I fish.”

This happens to me too. Actually, I was hoping for the rain they said we would have today so I could take a nap. ;) I just can’t nap today now because it’s such a nice sunny day. LOL
I have been out trimming a bit..It is a gorgeous day..
Trimming needs to be done here also. Enjoy your beautiful weather. It’s nice here but windy. I saw 2 huge, very very huge ;), bunnies eating the up and coming perennials this morning. LOL Oh well. I just hope they leave some flowers. ;)
Still need to plant those annuals. I think I’ll do this today. They have been sitting in the front since Thursday.
I complain because I don’t see bunnies..Perhaps I shouldn’t..LOL
My wife and I were stopped at a railroad crossing to allow a train to pass. As we waited in the line of cars, the driver next to us suddenly darted through a nearby parking lot and headed in the direction of the next available railroad crossing.
I turned to Marlene and said, with some righteous indignation, Look at that guy. Hes trying to get around the train instead of waiting like the rest of us. As soon as I said those words, the man, camera in hand, hopped from his car to take pictures of the oncoming train. I had judged his motives, and I was dead wrong.
Although we can observe behavior and outward appearance, only God can see whats in the heart. That is one reason we all need the Word of God so desperately. Hebrews 4:12 says, The Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
When we find ourselves ready to judge another persons motives, lets pause and rememberonly God can see the heart, and only His Word can expose its motives. Our responsibility is to let the Lord and His Word convict us about our own hearts.
Awww..See you soon at Amy’s!
We can’t let go just yet..Thank you, Mayor!
“Plan as though youll be living for a century; live as though youll be leaving today.”
Good lesson.
I saw the conversation over here and debated posting or not. Then I figured what the heck.
Another good one is.
Pray as if everything depended upon God, work as if everything depended upon you.
LOL! ;)
