Thanks for posting that picture, JustLori. I am proud to say that my husband, freeper jkphoto, took that photo of Jim. :-)

For those who might be interested in the history behind it; it was taken during a Gary Condit "Where's Chandra?" protest rally in Modesto, probably eight years ago. Jim was in front of a glass storefront window and jk wanted to create a "professional" photo for him (since that's what my husband does and we knew we couldn't convince Jim to come down to our studio, which is an hour south of Fresno). We had nothing we could use to to cover the window except a flag, so that explains the red and white striped background.

This photo of Jim is my husband's favorite and a gift to Jim, FreeRepublic and FreeRepublic members. In fact, jkphoto e-mailed this photo to me from work yesterday so that it could be posted on this thread.

Since I am so proud of Jim and FReeRepublic and all that Jim and this website has done to promote and protect our conservative values over the ten years FR has been on the internet, I am going to post it again! :-)

Well, I was glad to read that you are recovering so nicely, but I hadn't been on line for a couple of weeks and was surprised to learn of the leg surgery you have gone through. Jim, you know I am always so long winded in my posts...but all I can say now is: May God's hands hold you tightly and lift you up - out of your bed, and in good spirits!! Continued Prayers for you!

The Riverdale Assembly of God Church will say a prayer this morning for Jim. This is the Church that brought the Youth Group to several Troop Rallies in Fresno.

We are going to try to get up to the VA hospital between 2:00 and 2:30. Jk is having severe allergy problems, so he isn’t feeling real well and wants to get back home by dinnertime. Freepmail me if you can meet us at the hospital, okay?
