If you're a pro photographer you're going to be using a separate Apple display, or even better one of the pro monitors from NEC or LaCie. You can't get that color fidelity and consistency from any current laptop monitor that I know of. These things even come with anti-glare hoods and calibrators.
The vulnerability in question had been found and the exploit code written well before the conference and the hacker did not disclose it. He chose to unveil his hack at the conference so he could win the computer. You also fail to mention that none of the computers had been hacked until the rules were relaxed to order that the systems access a given URL.
The only way to have a fair competition like this would be to disclose its existence at the time of the conference so no pre-packaged exploits could be used.
Not really sure what your point is ... are you trying to convince me that the laptop I’m using and is working just fine is NOT ?
An article you point me at written this Feb that’s complaining about manufacturers selling “Vista capable” units before Vista came out the previous Jan dosen’t really impress me. Old news.
Anyone foolish enough to buy a new comp without the OS they are going to use pre-installed deserves what they get.
Are you warning me about using OLD peripherals ? No surprise there, I had an outboard video capture box that ran great with Win98, but no drivers for XP. A couple of pieces that plugged into the COM ports have no place to live now either ... Boo Hoo life goes on. They stay on the 98 box.
This laptops working just fine.
You've already admitted you're trying to run the "server" version of VMware instead of the "workstation" version despite the known incompatibility, so your supposed problem is with VMware not Vista. What's your other phantom issue?
Windows XP, Service Pack 3, installed in about 30-35 minutes today,(Sunday, May 18) via a direct download from Microsoft Update. It works GREAT, and sped up my machine. You should update today!
Bullshit.
If this is true for YOU then never pick up a gun because you will need an armorer daily too.
a-squared is a scam.
Try to download the free software using Firefox.
I won’t use IE so maybe it is a MS problem.
No it's not, unless they suddenly went rogue or something. It has received a lot of kudos from legit magazines. Any proof of your claim?

I use my guns regularly. I keep them clean and well lubricated. I never have problems with them.
At work, however, I am forced to use a DELL computer system that has constant HD overload problems, due to a former employee who liked to surf many of the web's prurient sites. The IE hitchhikers keep filling up the hard drive, and the only way to prevent it, is to not use our computers on the internet. Believe it or not...
But, that is changing. We are going to change over to ALL Macs, and add an Xserve system for security and RELIABILITY!
I guess you must never have had problems with Windoze, or do you just doubt that others do?
