AMEN! Now, do we/they have what it takes to save our country? We shall soon find out.
The irony here is that you don’t see the REAL point of your own message. Anyone who voted for Anderson should be embarrassed. Anyone who voted for Wallace should be embarrassed even if he did carry five states on sheer bigotry alone.
Keyes is not going to win, and he’s not even going to play the role of spoiler. Getting out of bed to go and vote for Keyes is just a waste of your time, the ink on the ballot, the gasoline to get there, and the time to count the vote. If you’re into extreme displays of quixotic impotence, then I guess you should go ahead. Just don’t pretend your vote matters.
Two points for chess related photographs used to bolster an otherwise laughable argument.

It wsn't just bigotry. it was also populist resentment of the Establishment elitists and their schemes.
You're missing my point: Each of those candidates ws supposed to siphon off votes and ensure teh election of the Democrat. It didn't happen. Yet Republicans, who think conservcatives are their property, continue to try to frighten us with that same bogus argument. It's nothing but a flim-flam.

You wate your vote when you vote for what you do not support, wehn you vote for people who will do little or nothing to advance your principles. McCain is one of those,an elitist, country-club RINO who has no use for conservatives, except that he thinks we're obligated to vote for him and shut up.
I can't and won't d that. I'm going to use my vote to make sure that I vote for teh candidate who, if elected, would most reflect my principles and would come closest to implemnting the policies I think ought to be in place.
Keyes is one of us; McVain isn't.
An thacan't wigument is silly. The GOP was told it coudn't win, and then it did. If everyne who agrees with Dr. Keyes's ideas votged for him,he woudl have a chance. But if you refuse to vote for him because "he can't win", then you are the one who is making certain that he can't.
I like Bob Barr. Hehad a good record in Congress and we all appreciate te work of teh House impeachment managers.
However, do you know who Barr has been working for recently? The ACLU. This is not good at all.
The major parties don't think so. Democrats think they own the black peope and Republican think conservaties are their property. They believe that we are required to vote for them, that we owe it to them. That is the only way they can talk about real conservatives "siphoning off" "their" votes.
You must take a look at the cases Bob has taken with the ACLU. I think you would agree with most of them. I do not agree with his stand on the Patriot Act but I am not going to find a candidate that I will agree with on everything.
Hi AmericanInTokyo - Last fall, I contributed to two GOP presidential primary candidates (Alan Keyes and Duncan Hunter). I’m curious about why, now that Hunter has withdrawn and Keyes is continuing, you currently favor voting for the one who’s not in the race.
Keyes’ experience as part of Reagan administration makes him the single best qualified amongst the active candidates in terms of foreign policy. Keyes’ work with conservative groups and individuals over the years has been admirable. I hope you’ll consider supporting his candidacy instead of defaulting to Hunter write-in. I assure you that we in Maryland will succeed in the necessary petitioning to get Dr. Keyes on the ballot, and I am heartened by the folks pursuing similar goal with apparent enthusiasm and commitment in enough other states to give him a chance at winning in November. I was tickled by the fellow on conference call the other night who explained why he was so enthusiastic about Keyes: “I heard Alan speak once. I understand English. It’s as simple as that.”
I will keep an open mind on this subject.
I’ve been following the effort for awhile now, at a distance though. I like Alan Keyes, think there aren’t many that are even in the same arena as Alan is. He is as conservative as I like to see in a conservative and that’s saying a lot as I’m nearly as far right as one can get, politically speaking. Keep up the good and hard work as I may be voting for the Independent Party before its over as the two current major parties are simply out of the equation at this point for me.
Stay tuned, my friend.
And thank you.
It’s a new party.
Unlike McCain, he's not going to bring the terrorists to the United States and give them civilian trials.
Yep...and I get no joy from saying these things. But I’m not going to pretend that things are not the way they are. :-)
I know what you mean. We play with hand we’re dealt.
