On November 17, 24-year-old Larry Bland was shot to death in his Englewood home. Bland, a security guard at Northwestern Hospital was shot more than once after struggling with a man who had entered the house through an unlocked basement door.

My brother was murdered and the guy who killed him was full of hate but it was not a hate crime because he was straight! So what our country has done is make one persons’ death more important because he has sex different than other people! Damn that’s just immoral!
