The US and the UN were stupid to insist that Israel stop fighting Hezbollah. They should have allowed the Israelis to wipe out the infection.

>>> By yesterday afternoon the clashes had largely subsided because Hezbollah fighters were facing no more resistance...<<<

A whole lot of good the big hooraugh did about stationing three or four of our warships off the Lebanon coast....

George, if you don't pull the trigger, they think your a woosie.....you have yet to prove them wrong.

The White House said it was "very troubled" by Hezbollah's move and urged Iran and Syria to halt their support for the Lebanese militant group.

Empty words. This is a ridiculous statement.

Ahmadinejad and Khamenei’s silly arrogance has them way over-extended. Good time for sane Persians to seize power before someone else does it for them.

"Good time for sane Persians to seize power before someone else does it for them."

Yes it would be.
No, they won't.

How much do you think it will cost for me to fully equip and transport you?

A blow to US policy?

Good lord, a blow to the headchoppers who prove to the world everyday that they are not capable of governing or living amongst civilized human beings.

Be sure to read how the affected Lebanese mock Obama’s platitudes on the situation:

White House policy on Lebannon has been all talk, no walk.
Is it any wonder Hezbollah is laughing their asses off as they have re-amred stronger than ever.
Maybe we can send another navy destroyer of the coast of Lebanoon. Ohhhhh.....that will scare the shiites as they coup the entire country. I have 0 doubt that Iran planned this coup knowing full well that Bush would be busy working on his end of term legacy and completely paralyzed in doing anything to help. Condis democrat like appeasement statements speaks volumes that Lebanon will be thrown under the bus. Its all over. Lebannon falls to Syria and Iran.

US POLICY on the Middle East suffered a major blow yesterday as Hezbollah fighters seized control of Muslim west Beirut

Not sure why it is a "blow" to US?

How come it isn't a blow to Israel? How come it isn't a blow to Sunni Arab countries? How come it isn't a blow to Greenland?

Is the source anti-American and they just had to put US in the article?

Now that the Hezbos have West Beirut, what are they going to do with it? They are still in the same position they were in before killing people.

Like I wrote, this is payback for the killing of Mugs and destruction of the reactor. This is Syria’s response. We will let them vent. What are the fighters going to do if no one fights? Start throwing people out of their houses? We’ll see. That would be different. Right now it just looks like a bully operation.
