Michelle Obama would be not only the first black First Lady in history, but the youngest (at 44)...

Huh, Frances Cleveland was 22, Julia Tyler was 24, and Jackie Kennedy was 31. It is too much to expect that a reporter has studied American History, but couldn't they use Wikipedia, for gosh sake.

My democrat bro-in-law in NYC, very, very elite btw, was driving and cut off by a black woman with a big Obama sign on her car.

She pointed to the Obama sign and gave bro-in-law the middle finger salute.

There is an undercurrent in the black community that their ascendency under Obama and his possible presidency will give them license to thumb their noses at convention.

This is going to be a very interesting time for all of us.

There is one person on the political stage that I dislike listening to more than Hillary and that is Michelle Obama.

I hope they turn her loose.

"This is going to be a very interesting time for all of us."

Isn't there an old Chinese curse that says "May you live in interesting times?"

“There is an undercurrent in the black community that their ascendency under Obama and his possible presidency will give them license to thumb their noses at convention.”

Not just in the black community, IMO. Virtually every non-”white” group seems (to me at least), starting to develop a decided chip on the shoulder. What these folks might not realize, however, is that we’re being pushed to a point where we’ll feel we have nothing to lose.

Think about it: It’s beginning to seem that anything — and I mean *anything* that doesn’t involve a complete capitulation and “joyful embrace” of any pronouncement of a “person of color” is immediately and loudly denounced as “racist”, “bigoted”, or at the very least “extreme.”

Eventually, we’re going to feel so pushed into a corner, we’re going to stop caring, and that’s when things are going to really get interesting. As an example, look at the AGW crowd. The more that legitimate sources question AGW, the shriller the proponents get. It’s a vicious cycle: One side gets shriller and more arrogant, and the other responds with the truth (about Barry O, AGW, Wright, et al.).

Somewhere somethin’s got to give.

The day may soon be coming when many of us won’t be shouted down or intimidated into silence any longer.

See, I oppose Obama because I think he'd be a lousy, socialist President.

You oppose Obama because if he gets elected, the black folk will get uppity? Uh...

“the tall, poised black woman”

Women! You can’t live with `em, and you can’t get them to
wear a peaked SS cap, a black over-sized tunic, fish-net
stockings with patent leather pumps & 5” stiletto
heels, and whip your posteriors bright-red with a springy
bamboo back scratcher!

They meant the first anti-American first lady

I do not take anything seriously that comes out of the newspapers from the UK. This is especially true when it comes to domestic politics in the Unites States. Many Brits think they understand the political scene in the United States but very few of them really do. And the Brits who really understand the political scene usually have to live here for a very long time. These staff reporters who are on assignment in the US are just about the worst in political analysis. Most of these are people who should be writing scandal sheets in the UK.

I have listened to tapes of Michelle Obama on the Hugh Hewitt website (no plug but this is where you can find them) and can only conclude that she is a absolute buffoon. She is the ultimate affirmative action baby. I would be willing to bet my next months pay against the change in anyones pocket that she would never have been admitted into any Ivy League College if she were not a minority. She is shrill, nearly vicious and filled with hostility. This is why the MSM is not playing these sound bites. They want Obama to win and they are going to try and put him in the best light possible. I urge all of you to listen to these sound bites and refer them to anyone who might be thinking about supporting Obama. Think about what this crazy woman would be like as first lady. Disgusting!

Why do I despise the MOHo even more than her racist, class-warfare driven, thoroughly unaccomplished Marxist husband?

You don't like her because she is Barak about a year ago - nothing but positive press, her quirks are 'endearing', 'she is just different'. I think her girl-next-door image will tarnish in a hurry...hope it is fast enough to have an election about issues and not (perceived) personalities...

The bad feelings are compounded by the fact that we don't have a major political party addressing the issues with solid conservative solutions...but don't worry, it will be ok. At the end of this year, our principles still work, our values still matter, and the American people will still overcome.

“I'm not supposed to be standing here.” She says this at almost every campaign stop.

I couldn't agree more!
