I just want to know where they are getting all this money. Did we get a raise? It’s like the whole town is under construction.

You are still a great freeper on most threads. JMO and don’t get mad...(you brought it up)...but I think you are so emotionally involved on this subject that you just can’t hear what others are really saying. I can’t say , under different circumstances that I wouldn’t be the same way though.

I for one am not one of the fair-taxers and it sounds like we took opposite paths. I was the corporate board for a multi-million dollar, multi-state corporation years back and decided I wasn't cut out for it. Nor did the rest of the group I worked with, albeit I wasn't in stock ownership.

I think in reality you are right, that corporations get taxed, but it is hardly a lie to say that corporations don't pay taxes in the scheme of things. I get frustrated when the bills roll around and I am taxed at last year's sales for a business license and in having a few gas stations in the portfolio I get creamed with the prices being higher on fuel hence, sales increased. Couple that with a rate increase and no more real gallons and it shocked me. That one tax hurt us a bit. The restaurant side is a bit different as the health boards are getting more and more a thorn in the side.

Nevertheless. No arguments, just a bit of difference in opinion and nature of business arrangement which I would say are semantics to some degree.

The government does not have the authority to lock up dozens of men while they investigate who in particular is guilty of what in particular. Belonging to a sect with illegal practices is not enough; they have to bring charges against the men according to what each specifically did.

The government would probably prefer to take the men, but it can’t, so it has taken the children and given the women the option of leaving the sect also. Children do not have the rights of adults - but as human beings they are entitled to government protection.

In due time, the guilty - or at least the provably guilty - parties will be punished. Until then, the children are safe.
