"We can expect that the variety and quality of software will accelerate in the years ahead," the Microsoft co-founder said."Just like Vista has done with Windows" he continued...

"The Internet has been operating now for 10 years," Gates said. "The second 10 years will be very different."
Hmmm... My 10 year freeperversary just passed (damn, I missed it). Seems like he might want to add a multiplier to that.
I was doing the internet thing back when Archie searches were new. I think I still have a bookmark for a gopher site somewhere amongst my thousands of bookmarks. (My bookmarks file is more than 10 years old)

That’s funny, I thought I signed up for my first ISP in 1995.

If Billy G knows so much about the Internet, why couldn’t Microsoft establish anything successful on it during his reign?

That?s funny, I thought I signed up for my first ISP in 1995.And you thought the three year delay before anything showed up on screen was that 19.2 modem!

Is there going to be a punish button added to Outlook so I can shock all my friends that spam me with crap every day until they quit sending me stuff embedded with malware and giving my name to mass spammers? That would be handy if you ask me.Great Idea. Insightful, really.

Thats funny, I thought I signed up for my first ISP in 1995.I attended an IUPAC conference in London in 96 or 97. In browsing through the book of registrants, there are about 1,000 scientists and less than 1% have email addresses.
Yes, I was a 1%er, just like a Hell's Angel.

Were doing some very interesting work on automobile software. I had to go to a car lot and see it before I'd believe it. Somebody bought a Ford with Microsoft software. How much pain can you endure?

Bill Gates envisions the future as Microsoft is self destructing faster than Obama.

Do you have cell phone service? We have good cell phone service, why do you ask? I've also started hearing a few good things about Hughes satellite service...
To: the_devils_advocate_666
Most cell phone providers have or will have internet service. Sprint is merging with Clearwire and will have nationwide wireless internet in a year or two.
