Hasn’t Ed Koch endorsed John McCain for President? I think I read it somewhere

he endorses Hillary.

but I believe he will dump the Dim candidate for McCain if Hussein Obama is the candidate.

I say keep this going as close to the convention as possible.

Good idea, but we have no control over that.

I say go for the "sure thing" and have Obama knock Hillary out once and for all before the convention. Then let the Dems coalesce around someone who can't win in November.

The Dem convention is several months away. A lot could happen in the intervening months. Another Reverend Wright moment or revelation about Obama, and it could turn delegates (pledged or super) away from him and into Hillary's waiting arms. (She only needs a handful to clench the nomination.)

It's simply not worth the risk of getting Hillary elected, which is a potential, if unintended, outcome of Operation Chaos.

If Hillary doesn't get the Dem nomination, she doesn't get on the ballot in November.

There is no guarantee that a contested convention would not end in a Hillary victory, or that Obama won't play nice guy and call for his delegates to "unite" behind Hillary, should she become the eventual nominee.

The second the media thinks that they Obama may have it locked up, they will clamp down on all news about him.

They will do the same for Hillary.

True in principle, but they tend to be “of a certain age” and, in sheer numbers, just don’t compete with minorities and younger voters. Although...with the animosity between the hispanic and black contingencies, HRC DOES have (presently) the hispanics. ‘Course, they’ll probably jump ship and vote for BHO if she’s out of the race.
