Al Latif is the fifth Mahdi Army-controlled neighborhood cleared in Basrah since Operation Knights' Assault was launched on March 25.

It would be helpful to know how many neighborhoods are in Basrah and how many of them are under Mahdi control.

I'm not sure how many neighborhoods are in Basra, but from what I hear, very little of Basra is under JAM control anymore.

People are coming out into the daylight and living free there again.

Yep....great news. JAM (and Iran) isn't going to win this one.

They never were going to.

Are UAV’s quiet?

They sound sort of like mopeds and you really don't hear them until they're practically on top of you.

Are you behaving ?

Of course not! ;-)

Y’all hear about this gem?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354236,00.html

Plants’ Rights

It isn’t just the rights of animals that some are promoting. The Weekly Standard reports an ethics panel in Switzerland is expressing concern that the arbitrary killing of plants is morally wrong. The Swiss Federal Ethics Committee on Non-Human Biotechnology says that humans cannot claim “absolute ownership” over plants; that “individual plants have an inherent worth,” and that man may not use them as he pleases.

It cites a hypothetical example of a farmer “decapitating” wildflowers as expressing a moral stance toward the organism and possibly doing something bad to the flowers themselves.

One critic of the report says the concept of plant dignity provides what he called “another tool of opponents to argue against any form of plant biotechnology.”

Plant dignity ... have we lived too long?? ROFL!!
